Carnegie Abbey unveils pool complex in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — Carnegie Abbey has added a state-of-the-art pool facility to its newest residential development, The Newport Beach Club.

At a recent evening cocktail party, guests viewed the new amenities which include a beachfront five-lane lap pool, swim-up tanning shelf, sauna, children’s pool with fountain, The Sand Bar (a private pool-front restaurant and bar with screened-in veranda and rooftop) and a fire pit for cool summer evenings.

The Newport Beach Club is a seaside village on 150 acres of waterfront facing Narragansett Bay. In addition to the new pool and beach club, residents also enjoy an Olympic-style equestrian riding facility, a championship tennis facility with four lit Har-Tru tennis courts and two heated paddle tennis courts, beachfront fitness facilities, and sport fishing slips that can accommodate yachts up to 120 feet long.
