Car safety clinic Sunday in Warren

The Warren Police Department will hold a car seat installation and inspection clinic this coming Sunday, Sept. 30, behind the station, Railroad Avenue. The clinic runs from 8 a.m. to noon. Officers trained in installation will be there to make sure your seats are properly installed, and there will also be a limited number of seats available to residents who aren't able to afford them. The clinic is sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Rhode Island Office on Highway Safety. A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
