Bristol parking ban lifted

The Bristol Police Department announced that the parking ban that was in effect due to Saturday's storm was lifted as of 7 a.m. on Sunday.

Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from designated parking areas as soon as possible.

DPW crews worked through the night to keep roads clear after Mother Nature delivered up to four inches of heavy, wet snow.

During the storm, emergency crews responded to the scene of a rollover accident on Metacom Avenue. Due to the accident, area residents experienced power interruption. Police have yet to release details of the incident.

As of 7 a.m., roads were mostly clear and residents began to dig out from what will likely be the last snowstorm of 2012.
