Bristol: Library and schools closed; plows are busy

Posted

Bristol Town Hall will be opened today, starting at 10 a.m.

The delayed opening allows for employees and residents to shovel themselves out from the winter storm, said Town Administrator Tony Teixeira.

Rogers Free Library is closed today, as are all of Bristol Warren's public schools. Island Child Care Center is also closed.

The roads are passable, and crews from the Department of Public Works are continuing to clear the streets. Forecasters are expecting an additional three to five inches of snow to fall this morning, and temperatures will remain below freezing for most of the day.
