Book review: ‘Wonder’

Posted

“Don’t judge a boy by his face,”

“Wonder” by R.J. Palacio, is about a boy named August Pullman.

He does normal things such as eating pizza or playing video games. The only abnormal thing about August is his face.

He was born with a disease that makes his face look different. August has dealt with a lot surgeries, people staring at him, and sad things happening.

August has always been home-schooled, protected by his family. But now it’s time for him to go into the real world, to public school ...

“Wonder” by R.J. Palacio is a book that’s full of surprises, happiness, sadness and angry moments.

Palacio teaches us that it’s okay to be different and unique. With the support of family and friends you can face almost anything.
