EAST PROVIDENCE — The Most Rev. Thomas J. Tobin, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence, will preside at the Pastor Installation Mass of Rev. Dean P. Perri at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., East Providence, on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 10:30 a.m.

Father Perri succeeds Father Stanley Nakowicz who unexpectedly passed away last year.

In 2005, he was assigned to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as assistant pastor and as chaplain at Roger Williams University, both in Bristol.  In 2008 he returned to the Pontifical North American College in Rome for graduate studies in Canon Law.

When he returned to the diocese in 2011 he was assigned as administrator of St. Casimir in Providence and as diocesan Assistant Chancellor and judge on the diocesan Marriage Tribunal.
