Barrington's Festival of Lights – Santa, carols, train rides and more

Posted

People from in and around Barrington flocked to town hall last Saturday to help kick off the local holiday season.

Barrington’s annual Festival of Lights included everything from gingerbread cooking making and train rides to ballet performances and carol singing.

There was also a trolley throughout the afternoon that brought residents to numerous downtown area businesses.

The event was co-sponsored by the Barrington Business Association and the Barrington Recreation Department.

Santa Claus stopped by around 4 p.m. He helped lead a countdown to light the tree.
