Barrington woman robbed of meds while she slept


A Barrington woman called police at 12:24 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, after someone allegedly entered her home and stole a plastic bag containing various medications.

The woman, who lives on Allen Avenue, told police she had been taking a nap between 6 and 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, and when she woke up could not locate a clear plastic makeup bag that contained her medications.

She said she was home alone while napping and that the door to her house had not been locked. Police are still investigating the apparent break-in and larceny.
