Barrington teacher finds bullets in school parking lot
According to police, the teacher had pulled her car into the lower parking lot at the school at about 8 a.m. when she noticed a box on the ground next to her vehicle. She took a closer look and realized the item was a box of buckshot shells. There were three unused shells in the box.
A teacher called police who quickly responded to the school and seized the ammunition. Police said the shells were damp — an indicator that they may have been left in the parking lot the previous night.
Barrington Police Chief John LaCross said the shells and the box were sent to the state crime lab in an effort to extract fingerprints.
