Posted

Barrington police responded to the Barrington Shopping Plaza parking lot on Monday, March 11, at about 4:30 p.m., after someone called dispatch to report a man slumped behind the wheel of a car.

Officers and rescue workers arrived and discovered a 25-year-old Warren man unresponsive. They later learned the man had shot up heroin a few hours earlier and was having a bad reaction.

Rescue workers transported the man to an area hospital for treatment. Police did not charge the man, as officers could not find any drugs or drug paraphernalia in the car.
