Four Barrington residents called police on Saturday, March 10, after their homes were hit by eggs.

The first call came from a Brown Avenue resident, and was followed up quickly by calls from a Lincoln Avenue resident and Walnut Road resident. All three homeowners complained of eggs hitting their homes, although none of the residents were able to spot the suspect.

That changed later in the day when a Fales Avenue resident called police and said she had video evidence of an egging at her home. The resident's surveillance camera captured footage of a dark-colored sedan pulling up in front of her home and someone inside the car throwing eggs at her home.

The resident shared license plate information and a description of the vehicle with police. An officer on routine patrol then spotted the suspect vehicle and ordered it over to the side of the road. Inside the car were four Barrington teenage boys.

The boys allegedly admitted to egging the Fales Avenue home, but they would not say which one of them did it. Police are still working on this case. Police said the driver of the vehicle also violated the terms of his probationary license.
