Barrington police: She bit him and then bit herself

Posted

Barrington police received a 911 call for an assault in progress on Allen Avenue on Friday, July 18, at 12:19 p.m.

When officers arrived they found a 70 year-old man, who owned the home, and a 40 year-old woman, who was acting hysterically. The man told police he had known the lady for a while but that she had just shown up in his house unexpectedly. He said he found her sleeping on the sofa.

He asked what she was doing and then asked her to leave; when she refused he tried to escort her from the home. That's when she allegedly bit him on the arm.

The woman offered a different account and said he had bitten her on the arm. She later told officers that she had lied, and that she had bitten her own arm.

Police issued the woman a no trespass warning.
