Barrington police release photo of shoplifting suspect

Barrington police recently released an image of a woman suspected of stealing eight Alex and Ani bracelets from Barrington Books.

Police said that a store employee called the department on Sunday, March 9 to report a shoplifting incident that took place on Friday night, March 7. The employee told police that a woman stopped into the store and swiped eight Alex and Ani bracelets from a display in the store. A surveillance image from the store shows the suspect in the children's section of Barrington Books.

On May 28, 2013, a woman reportedly stole 160 pieces of Alex and Ani jewelry from the store. Police shared a photo of the suspect — surveillance cameras showed a dark-haired woman carrying a large purse. She reportedly smuggled the jewelry out of the store in the purse.
