Barrington Police locate man's missing cell phone

Cell phone recovery? There’s an app for that.

On Thursday, Sept. 13, a man notified Barrington police that his iPhone had gone missing the previous night while he was at a concert in Providence.

A piece of tracking software installed on the phone, however, allowed him to track the device to a home on Harbour Road.

Police spoke with a woman at the identified at address who said she didn’t know anything about the missing phone though she said a pair of workers from a damage restoration company had recently been in the area.

Police located the men, who had the phone.

The men told the officers they had found the found at the concert venue and were planning to turn it in to their boss. In the end, the rightful owner was reunited with his missing phone.
