Barrington police drop charges against 19-year-old

Posted

The Barrington Police Department dropped charges against Barrington resident William A. Restituyo after the 19-year-old provided additional information about an underage drinking incident.

On Friday, Aug. 19, police charged Mr. Restituyo with underage consumption and violating the state’s social host law — investigators believed the local teenager provided alcohol to other minors at a small gathering in the woods behind Primrose Hill School.

Initially, Mr. Restituyo was uncooperative with the investigation, but after he was charged he reportedly provided additional evidence about the case which led police to drop the charges.
