Barrington faces Hendricken in battle of undefeateds

The Barrington High School football team is 6-0 in Division I. The Bishop Hendricken football team is 6-0. So which team is better? Fans will have that question answered tonight, Nov. 8, when the two undefeateds square off.

The Eagles travel to Hendricken for the 7 p.m. kick-off.

Barrington battled LaSalle last Friday night, fighting back from a 6-0 deficit late in the fourth quarter to grab a 7-6 win. Junior Nick Jensen scored the game-tying touchdown for the Eagles on a pass from quarterback Matt Rota. The extra point gave Barrington the edge, and a fumble recovery by Barrington senior Nick Raymond sealed up the victory over the Rams.

A few of the Bishop Hendricken players made the trip to Barrington last Friday night to watch the game. The Hawks were enjoying a bye week. Hendricken knocked off Portsmouth 41-21 in its most recent game, on Oct. 25.
