Barrington EMTs administer Narcan twice in one day

One person was found in vehicle, another in local home

Barrington's first responders used Narcan to revive two individuals in separate incidents on Saturday, July 15.

According to Barrington police, there was an emergency call at about 3 p.m. for a man who was found unconscious inside his vehicle. The car was parked in the Maplewood Plaza parking lot, and the man — a Barrington resident — appeared very pale and lethargic.

First responders treated the man with Narcan and he quickly recovered.

About three hours later, police and fire received a call for a possible overdose at a Barrington home. A 35-year-old man from East Greenwich was found unconscious laying in a stairwell inside the home.

Barrington EMTs administered Narcan to the man and he recovered. Police also reportedly found a small plastic baggie containing a substance that appeared to be heroin.
