Barrington elementary school targeted by vandals

Posted

Hampden Meadows School was recently targeted by vandals who destroyed and stole equipment from the school's playground area.

Police received a phone call on Monday, April 28, after someone at the school noticed damage done to playground equipment — officials say someone cut a post that supports the monkey bars and also unscrewed and removed a seat that had been attached to another piece of equipment.

There were no reports of students becoming injured due to the damage, and it was not clear when the destruction took place.
