Barrington boys finish 18th at state track meet

The Barrington High School boys indoor track team finished 18th at the state championship meet on Saturday.

Sam Read entered the 300-meter event as the 12th seed but finished fifth overall with a time of 37.31 seconds.

Eliot Laidlaw experienced a similar situation in the 3,000-meter race, entering as the 12th seed and finishing fifth in the finals.

Barrington's 4x800-meter relay team of George Wicker, Dominic Portelli, Calvin Hennessey and Jamie Gunness finished sixth with a time of 8:28.60.
