Barrington boy is second at freshman state meet


Barrington High School's Mars Bishop finished the 4K course at Burrillville Middle School in 13:29 and finished second at the RI State Freshman Cross Country Championship on Monday afternoon.

Mars finished behind LaSalle's DJ Principe, who won with a time of 12:52.

The Barrington boys team finished ninth overall, while East Greenwich brought home the title. The Barrington girls team was 13th, while LaSalle won the girls' team title.
