Barrington boy accidentally shares explicit photos with friend's mom

Posted

A Warren woman called police last Thursday, April 11, to report finding explicit photos of her son's teenage friend on her computer.

Police believe that several weeks prior to the woman's discovery, the son's friend was at the house and plugged his iPhone into the woman's computer to charge it. What he didn't know was that while the phone charged, the computer automatically uploaded explicit photos that the boy had taken of himself and was storing on his phone's camera.

The woman discovered the photos on her computer some time later and called the boy's mother. Police got involved after the picture taker's mother called Barrington High School, where the woman with the computer works, and asked that her son not be put in her classroom. The woman with the computer called police just to report the situation, and nobody was charged.
