Mary Jane Begin's paintings feature Barrington Beach

Barrington resident Mary Jane Begin has been creating a series of paintings featuring Barrington Beach that will be on exhibition at the Providence Art Club from Oct. 22 through Nov. 8, with an opening reception on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The opening and the exhibition is open to the public. "I’m very excited to be exploring color and light through seascape!" said Ms. Begin.

"The sense of the ending of a day seems most clearly expressed with the lowering light of the sun, hence, one of my main focuses! Though I did trek down on cloudy days and at night, just to see what the bay looks like and how the light feels. It’s endlessly fascinating because it’s always changing. I never head to the beach without my camera."
