Arthur B. Rocha, 81, Little Compton

Arthur B. Rocha, 81, of Little Compton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at St. Anne's Hospital, Fall River. He was the devoted husband of Rita A. (Cicconi) Rocha; they had been married for 56 years.

Born in Little Compton, he was a son of the late Frank B. and Albina (Correira) Rocha. He was a laborer for Grande Brothers of Newport for many years.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Arthur J. Rocha; a daughter, Cheryl A. Rocha; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, several brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church on The Commons. Funeral arrangements are by Fern Acres Funeral Home, Little Compton.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
