Antone M. Silva, 85, Fall River

Antone M. Silva, 85, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of Emilia (Silvia) Silva; they were married for 64 years.

Antone was born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel M. and Maria D.C. (Perry) Silva. He served his country during World War II with the United States Army.  Later, he worked out of the Local#1333 in Providence as a glazer for 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working in his garden. Antone was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Christina Loomis and her husband Albert of Warren; two sons, Dennis Silva and Antone M. Silva Jr., both of Fall River; three grandchildren, Mark, Antone Jr. and Melissa; two great-grandchildren, Lola and Capri; a sister, Alice Santos of Tiverton; and several nieces and nephews.
