Anthony Paul Morrow, 86, Tiverton


Anthony Paul Morrow, 86, of Tiverton, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014.  He was the husband of the late Lucille (StAmand) Morrow.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Marion (Rockwell) and Anthony Morrow.  He was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee

High School and attended Bryant College.

Mr. Morrow had served in the U.S. Air Force. He had worked as an auditor for the US Navy in Newport for 32 years.  A communicant of Holy Ghost Parish, he was an avid golfer and a member of the Montaup Country Club.

He is survived by four children, Jeffrey Morrow, Judith Maloney, Joanne Morrow and Christopher Morrow.  He also leaves two grandchildren, Nicholas Morrow and Meagan Morrow.  He was predeceased by two sisters.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton.  His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church.  Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly in church.  Burial will be at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
