Anne J. (Bruno) DiMezza, 93, of 1165 Hope St., Bristol, R.I., passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was the wife of the late Louis F. DiMezza.
Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Raia) Bruno. She worked as a hairdresser, owning her own beauty shop, and later as the toast lady at Mt. Hope Diner in Bristol, Rhode Island.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
She will be sadly missed by her sister, Sarah (Bruno) Diodati, nephew Joseph P. Bruno, and niece Jane Bruno, all residents of Bristol. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Paul, Joseph, Samuel, Frank and Louis Bruno, and sister Jenny Arouca.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, May 23, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Committal prayers were held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol, RI 02809.
