Anne F. Charette, 60, Riverside


Anne F. Charette, 60, of Peck Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on August 27, 2013. She was the former wife of the late Robert A. Charette and former companion of the late Karl J. Stolle Jr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Marion V. (Pellitier) Lovett, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mrs. Charette was a dietary aid at St. Mary’s Academy Bay View for the past five years. Ann enjoyed gardening and spending time with her loving dogs; Porky and Poochie.

She is survived by a daughter; Michelle C. Charbonneau and her husband Robert of Riverside, four sisters; Barbara Ann Daniels of Chesapeake, Va., Peggy E. Dorosko of Riverside, Mary E. McShane of Riverside and Linda L. Giangrande of Tolland, Conn., and a granddaughter; Brie E. Charbonneau.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 30, from 4-7 p.m.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
