Amber Alert issued in Portsmouth


PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth police issued an Amber Alert Wednesday morning for a 13-year-old girl.

According to Amber Alert, police said they're searching for Kathryn Botelho, who's 4 feet, 11 inches tall with blond hair and blue eyes and wearing a black skirt. She was wearing a blue sapphire Alex and Ani bracelet.

She was a passenger in a red Chrysler Sebring being driven by a male, approximately 40 to 5o years old.

According to Ambert Alert, the child was last seen at her residence at 59 Ferry Landing Circle. Witnesses state she was observed leaving the house with an unknown male, not known to family.

In an 11:25 a.m. call to the police station, a dispatcher said he couldn't provide any more details. "We've got every detective working on it," he said.
