Alan J. McKenzie, 62, of Warren, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at home.

He leaves his companion, Debra Vargas.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late George and Margaret (Alves) McKenzie.

Alan was employed as a cutter by Microfibers of Pawtucket. He was a founding member of the Over the Hill Motor Cycle Club, Bristol Men's Softball League, Dudek's Duck Pin Bowling and Middlebrook Golf League. He served in the US Navy.

Father of Jason McKenzie, stepfather of Joseph Vargas III and Corey Vargas. Grandfather of grandsons, Brandon and Jason McKenzie Jr.

He leaves his brother George McKenzie, Jr. of Warren.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, where the family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, with a Memorial Service immediately starting at 7 p.m. Burial will be Aug. 9, 2013 in R.I. Veterans Cemetery, 301 So. County Trail, Exeter. Wjsmithfh.com
