Aerial attack on mosquito larvae set for spring

Snow is still on the ground but already the Bristol County Mosquito Control Project is planning its springtime assault on mosquito larvae.

They have announced that they will begin targeting mosquito larvae by aerial spraying in certain large wetlands areas within the county this spring. Aerial applications will be conducted between 4 a.m. and 9 p.m. as conditions permit. No applications will be done over residences.

Westport is among the towns where spraying will take place.
