Adam Ezra, Transatlantic to rock Independence Park

A Bristol 4th of July favorite returns to the stage tonight as the Concert Series continues in Independence Park.

The Adam Ezra group headlines tonight's performances with a passionate rock show reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, though it is not a tribute band. Check out the band's original, soulful music at 7:45 tonight.

Opening for Adam Ezra Group is the unique style of Transatlantic Campaign, spanning the music genres from rock to folk to country and blues. See the full description of each band below, and check back with every day for a preview of that night's concerts. The concert series runs nightly through July 3.

Combining the sounds of traditional delta blues, southern rock, old school country and folk, Transatlantic Campaign brings a bold and fresh style of music to anyone willing to listen. Their influences guide their way to a comforting originality boasting driving drums, heartfelt lyrics and a little southern twang. The year 2013 proved to be adventurous with a debut album and multiple tour dates bringing the band into the forefront of the New England Music Scene.

The Adam Ezra Group bills itself as a force to be reckoned with musically, personally and socially. The band members are committed to changing the world with their songs and their actions along the way. Ezra and his band are activists and community leaders as much as they are musicians and songwriters. Ezra has spent time living out of a van, farming in Canada, volunteering for the relief effort in Kosovo, and practicing environmental geography in South Africa. Whether as a kitchen hand or carpenter, teacher, athlete or traveler, Ezra crams it all into the music, always challenging listeners' perspective and often teetering somewhere between gutsy rocker and sensitive poet. The group’s live performances are sweaty, passionate affairs that have been compared to those of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and have attracted the attention of Royal Avenue Records.
