Posted

PORTSMOUTH — Three of Portsmouth Abbey School’s student-athletes – Rachael Powers ‘13, of South Easton, Mass., Sarah Sienkiewicz, of Bristol, and Callie Taylor, of New Canaan, Conn.— have been named to the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA High School National Academic Squad.

The High School National Academic Squad program, administered by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), recognizes those high school seniors who have achieved a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2012-13 school year.

Kate Cusick, as Portsmouth Abbey's head varsity field hockey coach and member of the NFHCA, nominated the three qualifying 12th graders to be recognized by the organization.

Portsmouth Abbey School is a member of the Eastern Independent League (EIL).
