William J. 'Billy' Vendituoli, 94, of Barrington

William J. “Billy” Vendituoli, 94, of Lincoln Avenue, died on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016. He was the devoted husband of the late Dora S. (Calitri) Vendituoli.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was the son of the late Michael and Philomena (Cuzzone) Vendituoli. 

Mr. Vendituoli was a supervisor at the Barrington Post Office for 26 years. 

William served in active duty as a U.S. Marine in World War II and in Iwo Jima. He was awarded the Bronze Star with One Gold Cluster and the Purple Heart with One Gold Cluster for his heroic achievements in action.

Mr. Vendituoli was a communicant of Holy Angels Church. 

He is survived by a sister, Gloria Suriani of Barrington and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Isabelle Carmone, Angelina Squillante, D. Thomas, Frank and Michael Vendituoli. 

His funeral was held on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church. Burial with Military Honors followed in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery.
