Watershed calendar celebrates Westport’s beauty

The Westport River Watershed Alliance’s new 2017 photo calendar is now available now featuring local tide graphs and photos of Westport scenes. This year’s photos are the winners chosen from over 100 entries in WRWA’s photo contest held this past spring.

The photographs represent the most beautiful of Westport landscapes throughout the seasons, along with a few stunning wildlife shots.

“We had so many great submissions in our photo contest,” said Deborah Weaver, WRWA executive Ddrector. “It was difficult for our judges to narrow the choices down to 13. This is one of our best calendars ever.”

The winning photos were provided by local photographers Tim Agnew, David Cole, Barry French,

Mark Goulding, Laurie Marinone, Greg Stone, Betsy Szel, Amelia M. Tripp, and Laurie Wenham. Submissions for the 2018 calendar will be sought in Spring, 2017.

The calendars are on sale now in the WRWA headquarters at 1151 Main Road, on line at www.westportwatershed.org, and locally at Lees Market, Partners Village Store, AS Deams and Country Woolens.
