A Cutler Street caller complained that someone copied checks and then used them to withdraw funds.
Electrical supplies were reported stolen from a building on Main Street.
Donald L. Mosher, 24, of 11 Westminster St., was charged with vandalizing a property on Joyce Street.
Police were called to Munro Avenue over a dispute between residents regarding the name on a deed and mortgage. Police told them it was a civil matter.
A Brownell Street resident reported the theft of a bike but then called back after finding it, safe and sound and not stolen.
Tuesday, August 16
A caller reported finding drug paraphernalia on the front steps of a Main Street restaurant.
Wednesday, August 17
The fire department extinguished a Dumpster fire called in on Metacom Avenue at 1:23 a.m.
Police went to Napoleon Street for a neighborhood dispute.
Someone stole a package from the front steps of a home on Federal Street.
The animal control officer went to check on the well-being of a dog on Child Street, but got no answer after knocking.
A Munro Avenue woman reported the theft of her son’s TV and other items from her home.
A Main Street resident called to complain that a neighbor was burning trash, causing heavy smoke.
A Bradbury Street woman called police after noticing her front door window broken.
Residents on Warren Avenue were being too loud and had an open burn, a caller complained just after 10:30 p.m.
A Union Street woman called police to tell them that her son was drunk and disorderly.
Thursday, August 18
A Main Street resident upset that a neighbor was playing music too loudly called police just after 10:30 a.m.
A Main Street caller complained that the PA system at Burr’s Hill was too loud. Police checked it out and found kids and camp staff practicing for a talent show later that night.
Timothy E. Smith, 38, of 20 Union St., second floor, was charged with violating a no contact order.
Friday, August 19
A cow got loose and ended up at Market and Chestnut streets.
Police advised people on Fifth Street to put out an open burn.
Police got a call about a panhandler on Water Street.
Saturday, August 20
A man and woman got into it on Barden Lane, and the police came out.
A caller complained that people were vandalizing a vacant apartment on Joyce Street. It turns out they were just moving in.
A juvenile, 15, was charged with attempted larceny/theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories after police got a call about a suspicious person on Wood Street.
Sunday, August 21
A woman on Evie Drive reported being harassed by another woman.
A woman on Arlington Ave. called police at 12:36 a.m. and asked that police remove her boyfriend from the apartment.
A mother/daughter dispute drew police to a Barden Lane home.
A caller on Long Wharf Drive complained about noisy neighbors. They were moving furniture and were advised to call it a night (call came in at 10:10 p.m.).
A caller from Child Street complained about people smoking marijuana in the area. Police noted that “the smell was from a skunk.”
