Warren police: Busy week for animal control

Monday, Nov. 28

Police returned a lost wallet to a woman. A Good Samaritan had earlier brought it in after finding it. A few hours later, police returned a cell phone to another owner.

A Metacom Avenue store manager reported seeing two shoplifters.

A Main Street told police that her ex-husband contacted her, a violation of a no contact order.

A Ridgeway Drive resident complained that someone opened a Verizon account in his name.

Todd P. Clark, 42, of Riverside, was arrested on a warrant for violating a no contact order and domestic disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Nov. 29

The animal control officer went to a home on Main Street to check on the well-being of goats.

A Main Street woman complained that her entered her apartment without informing her.

Someone complained about a person rummaging through cars on Baker Street.

Police got a call about a possible drunk driver on Market Street.

Wednesday, Nov. 30

A caller from Wood Street complained about noisy upstairs neighbors, but police didn’t hear anything while there.

A man reported the theft of his wallet and jacket from a Water Street address.

A Highview Avenue woman complained that scratches on her car had appeared overnight. Police checked it out and found no scratches; just paw prints.

Thursday, Dec. 1

A dog owner was advised of the town leash law after police went to the Warren Town Beach and saw the dogs running freely.

Timothy Medeiros, 32, of Barrington, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court, and also charged with driving after denial, suspension or revocation of his license.

A West Street woman asked for a police officer to be there while her ex-boyfriend gathered items from her home.

Friday, Dec. 2

Police were called to Davis Street for a dispute between landlord and tenant.

Kevn J. Grant, 54, of Bristol, was arrested on a warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Police were asked to check on the well-being of a drunk woman on Metacom Avenue.

A Locust Terrace woman reported being assaulted by her daughter.

Saturday, Dec. 3

Police arrested two people on Sixth Division District Court bench warrants: Robert F. Machado, 36, of 5 Hanley Lane, and Lauren E. Gaglio, 28, of 29 Harris Ave.

A caller complained about a car driver on Touisset Road who had an infant on his/her lap.

Sunday, Dec. 4

A dog was reported missing from a Canario Drive home.

A caller from Water Street told police that someone knocked on her door, then ran away.

A group of juveniles apparently harassed a Main Street resident, who called police.

A barking dog complaint (made about a barking dog, not by) came in from Buffalo Avenue.

Monday, Dec. 5

A caller reported an unrestrained child in the front seat of a car on Main Street.

A Child Street man reported being harassed by a neighbor.

The animal control officer got a call about a cat scratching a dog on Westminster Street.
