Patrolman Randy Bryant of the Warren Police Department was recently given a traffic safety award from the Automobile Association of America (AAA), at the annual AAA Community Traffic Safety Awards luncheon at the Marriot in Providence. Police departments from across the state nominated officers as “Community Traffic Safety Heroes;” Patrolman Bryant was selected for his proactive work to fight speeding, safety belt disuse, unsafe vehicles and failure to yield for pedestrians at crosswalks. At the same luncheon, Deputy Warren Police Chief Joe Loiselle accepted an award on behalf of the department for the Town of Warren not having a pedestrian fatality for five years.
