The Warren Democratic Town Committee held its biennial election of officers Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Second-term Warren Town Council member Steve Thompson was elected chairman, former councilor Brandt Heckert was elected vice chairman, Stephen Smith was elected secretary and Walter M. Conklin was elected treasurer.

Mr. Thompson replaces outgoing chairman Brian Mellor.

“I would like to thank (Mr. Mellor) for his service to the committee,” Mr. Thompson said.

"I would also like to recognize the service and leadership of Richard Silva who has held every position on the committee, including chairman, over the years. I look forward to working with the town committee and our elected officials to promote and improve Warren.”
