Headmaster David Tinagero shared smiles and congratulations with this year's group of graduates at St. Andrew's School, during the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 28.

Mr. Tinagero, who replaced longtime headmaster John Martin last summer, also acknowledged some of the school's longtime employees and recent retirees — Margaret Godwin (17 years of service), Thomas Cardullo (16 years) and Althea Telford (10 years).

The event began with a procession of St. Andrew's students, faculty, staff, trustees, King medalists, and alumni class members celebrating their 50th and 60th reunions as they entered the tent on the Buckley-Henius Quad.

Cyd McKenna ’88, who serves as chief of staff for the Providence City Council, offered words of advice for the graduates, while student Max Oliver shared the senior address.

Luke Montalbano, who will be attending Emory and Henry College in the fall, received The Kind Medal Award — St. Andrew's School's highest honor.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
