Roberta Roop, Riverside

Roberta Bradley (White) Roop of Riverside died Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Cyril “Bud” Roop. Born in New Bedford she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Macy) White.

She was a clerk for the East Providence Water Department until retiring. She was a past Matron of Naomi Chapter OES and a member of Limerock OES, a member of the Edgewood Yacht Club and was active in the Reunion Committee of East Providence High School Class of 1946.

She leaves three daughters, Susan Sweet and her husband Joseph of Poinciana, Fla., Nancy Aubin and her husband Roland of Cranston, Debra Cardoso and her husband Michael of Warwick, two sons, David and Robert Bradley both of East Providence, three step children, Lawrence Roop of Lee, N.H., Carol Nicoll of Billerica, Mass., Leslie Roop of Stratham, N.H., a sister, Carol Aguiar of East Providence, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Colleen Bradley.

Funeral Service was held in the Abundant Life Assembly of God, Swansea. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling Hours and Arrangements by Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave., Riverside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, 02904, would be appreciated.
