Peter Edgar Larson, 59, Holly Ridge, NC, formerly of Tiverton

Peter Edgar Larson, 59, of Holly Ridge, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at home.  He was born on December 19, 1956, to Robert and Nancy (Tuell) Larson in Fall River, Mass., and grew up in Tiverton.  He was a member of Topsail Moose Lodge # 2061.

Peter is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carol Street Larson; brother, Christopher Larson; sister, Lissa Waring; mother, Marjorie Larson of Tiverton; children, Jayne Steele Knowles and husband, Robert, James Daniel Street and wife, Pamela, and Coy Wayne Street; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.


Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.  Visitation 2-3 pm.  Interment followed in Sea Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
