Paul A. Borges, 72, Little Compton

Paul A. Borges, 72, of Little Compton, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. Anne’s Hospital, Fall River.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Antone and Laura (Bettencourt) Borges, he was a lifelong resident of Little Compton.

Mr. Borges was a Master Plumber and owner of Bodington Plumbing of Little Compton for 40 years. Paul was a member of the Tuesday Pitch League at Crowther’s Restaurant.

He leaves one son, Paul A. Borges of Little Compton; three daughters, Susan M. Borges of Fall River, Sara A. Mendes of Westport, and Lindsey J. Borges of Little Compton; one brother, Stephen Borges of Little Compton; one grandchild, Briana Lyn Coderre; his partner of 17 years, Lisa Correia and her son and daughter Eric and Kristi and her grandchildren Alexis and Tate. He was the brother of the late Anthony, David, George and John Borges, and Nancy Almeida. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

His funeral was held Thursday, April 28, in St. Catherine of Siena Church on the Commons, Little Compton. Donations may be made to the Little Compton Fire Department, 60 Simmons Road, Little Compton, RI 02837, or Alzheimer’s of RI, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
