Michael P. “ Mickey” Kinney, 69, of Warren, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at the Coventry Health Center. He was the life-time partner of Peggy MacDougall.

Mickey was born in Fall River, a son of the late Charles M. and Adeline (Mendes) Kinney. He was a part time school bus driver for the First Student Bus Company for over seven years, and previously worked for more than 20 years as a color plate inspector for the Providence Journal.

A United States Navy veteran, Mickey was a Warren resident all of his life and was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church. He was a member of the East Warren Rod andGun Club and enjoyed shooting, fishing and hunting with a bow and arrow and a rifle.

Besides his partner, he leaves a son, Matthew Kinney of Warren; his stepchildren Gregory, Eric and Cheryl; and two brothers, Kenny Kinney of Warren and Charles Kinney of Orange, Texas. He was the grandfather of six and great-grandfather of three, and is also survived by two nieces and a nephew. He was the brother of the late George Kinney.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23 from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
