Ms. Mary A. (Gallogly) Vera, 66, of 211 State St., Bristol, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Providence and raised in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Peter E. Gallogly and the late Charlotte E. (Sisson) Perkins and the step-daughter of the late Thomas E. Perkins.
A graduate of Pilgrim High School, Warwick, Mary lived most of her life in Bristol. Mary loved spending time with her grandson, Andrew, and her family and friends, especially Phyllis VerBurg. She was an avid gardener and reader, and enjoyed passing the time doing puzzles and drinking her Coolatta at Colt State Park in Bristol.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn-Marie Vera Almeida (Paul); and grandson, Andrew K. Almeida, all of Cranston; three sisters, Barbara McDonaugh (John), Margaret Black and Elizabeth Gallogly; and a brother, Michael Gallogly (Robin). She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and step-father, by a son, Keith J. Vera, and a brother, James Gallogly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in celebration of her life on Saturday, June 25, 2016, 2–4p.m. in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol.
