TIVERTON — Zach Greene's two-out walk-off RBI single into left field sent Evan Monast home in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Tiverton a 7-6 victory over West Warwick on Friday in Tiverton. The victory boosted the Tigers’ record to 8-1 in division. West Warwick fell to 4-6 overall.
Monast had reached base with a two-out triple to right field.
It was a back-and-forth battle as Rayden Viveiros knocked in two runs with a single in the sixth inning to give Tiverton a 6-5 lead. The Wizards promptly tied the game in the top of the seventh.
Pitching for Tiverton were Zach Greene and Rayden Viveiros.
Two days earlier, on Wednesday, April 27, Tiverton beat Classical in more convincing fashion by a 5-1 score in Providence.
Leonardo Felicianio pitched a four-hitter and Stephen Gacioch and Duane Maitland both went 2-for-3 with two RBIs .
