Joseph R. Loiselle, 80, of Orleans, Ma., died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy (Kelly) Loiselle.
Mr. Loiselle was born in Central Falls, R.I., a son of the late Adrien and Ida (Parent) Loiselle. He was a groundskeeper for the Nauset Regional School District for over 30 years before retiring.
Mr. Loiselle served as a medic in the United States Air Force and had lived in Orleans for 30 years, coming from North Providence and Lincoln, R.I. He was a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans, an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and also enjoyed archery.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Deputy Police Chief Joseph R. Loiselle of the Warren (R.I.) Police Department, and his wife Gina of Bristol, RI; his daughter, Lisa Martin of Plainville, MA.; his brothers, John Paul Loiselle of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Joseph Gerard Loiselle of North Smithfield, R.I.; and his sister, Madeline Pate of Cumberland, R.I. He was the grandfather of Thomas, Devon and Dylan Loiselle, Christopher and Jason Martin, and Emma Kelley and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Loiselle was the brother of the late Wilfred Loiselle, Ernest Loiselle and Norbert Loiselle, and the father of the late Bruce Loiselle.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, in St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, Ma. Burial with Military honors will be at 11:30 a.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, Ma. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
