John Furtado, 65, of Walley Street, passed away of Jan. 10 at home.
He was the son of Margaret (Emeling) Furtado and the late John R. Furtado. He is survived by his son John C. Furtado as well as his brother, Michael Furtado and his wife Deborah.
John was a graduate of Bristol High School, New England Institute of Technology and Bryant University. He was a self-employed electronic technician and had previously worked for Raytheon.
John was an avid sportsman who enjoyed baseball, biking, golf and hiking. He was also a craftsman who liked to build clocks and inventing via tinkering. He loved music and was a self-taught guitar player.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service, Saturday, Jan. 21, 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
