Evelyn B. (Rossoni) Rapoza, 81, of Tiverton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 2, 2016, at St. Anne Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife the late Lionel S. Rapoza.
Born in Worcester, Mass., Mrs. Rapoza was a graduate of Hope High School and the RI Hospital School for Physiology. She was the medical assistant for Dr. Henry L.C. Weyler MD in Providence for many years. Most recently, Mrs. Rapoza worked for Family Services of Fall River in the intake department until her retirement in 2010.
She is survived by her loving family; three sons, Craig F. Rapoza, of East Greenwich, Mark F. Rapoza and his wife Jeanne of Tiverton, and Gary F. Rapoza and his wife Amanda, of Little Compton. She was also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew, Briana, Joseph and Evan whom she absolutely adored. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Rapoza will be held on Saturday, May 7, from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 74 Simmons Road, Little Compton,with burial to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
