Dennis “Denny” Souza, 71, of Warren, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of Susan (Sicignano) Souza.

Denny was born in Fall River, a son of the late Manuel and Alexandrina Hilda (Pimentel) Souza. He was the owner and operator of Denny’s Auto in Warren for more than 24 years.

Mr. Souza was a United States Army veteran, serving as a Specialist in the 118th Engineer Battalion. He had been a Warren resident for more than 33 years, coming from Bristol, and was a former parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church. He was a member of the West Barrington Men’s Club and the Warren Portuguese American Club. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing golf and spending time with his family. He also attended and helped out with the Bristol Sip N Dip car shows on Wednesday nights.

Besides his wife, he leaves a nephew, Frederick “Buddy” Souza and a niece, Louanne Mastriano, both of Bristol; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frederick Souza.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday May 19, at Smith Funeral, Memorial and Cremation Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
