Darlene M. Driscoll, 84 of Tiverton

Darlene M. (Braun ) Driscoll, 84 of Tiverton, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at the Grace Barker Nursing Home.

She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Frederick William and Adele Marie Braun.

Darlene was a waitress for many years in the St. Louis area. She also worked at CitiCorp. and Six Flags to name a few before relocating to Rhode Island. Once in Rhode Island she worked in Newport and Tiverton.

Ms. Driscoll has been a Warren resident for over five years, coming from Tiverton, where she has lived since 2000.

Darlene enjoyed reading, knitting, lighthouses, music, and dancing. She was a dance instructor many years ago.

She loved hockey and was a fan of the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Darlene was the mother of Dawn Simmons and her husband Robert W. of Tiverton, Edward C. and his wife Patty Driscoll III, of Affton Missouri, and Shon T. Driscoll of Port Barrington, Illinois.

She was the grandmother of Nicole Renee Simmons, Samantha Lynn Rebello and her husband Ryan, Kellie Anne Simmons, and Sophie Marie Driscoll.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Grace Barker Nursing Center, 54 Barker Avenue, Warren RI 02885 (gracebarkerandthewillows.com) would be appreciated.

Services will be private, arrangements by the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services.
